About school

The school is focused on education, upbringing and development of children aged from 3 to 18, and it allows to supervise the child permanently, to study inclinations and special features of each student, and to organize the teaching process basing on the principle of individualization.
Our school was opened in 1989 as Leningrad synagogue school and was registered as private school on March, 28, 1991. It was the first Jewish school in perestroika-minded Russia. Since that dozens of children have got excellent education, entered prestigious institutes, a lot of students have been given the winner’s and awardee’s certificates of city, national and international academic Olympics. More than 180 students aged 3 up to 18 study in our school. Coeducation is provided. The rules of Shabbat and Kashrut are observed in our school. Education is fulfilled in accordance with public educational programs. School’s feature is that alongside with general educational subjects Hebrew and Jewish traditions and literature are studied in our school. Special attention is paid to the study of English (starting from grade 1), mathematics, Russian language. Psychologist and speech-and-language pathologist are provided in our school. Extended daycare group works till 18.30. In 2013 the school started child care department for kids aged 3-7. Starting from 2015 pre-school training group is operated.

Special features

In addition to the compulsory subjects studied at our school, there are a number of subjects connected with the Jewish culture, such as Hebrew, Jewish traditions and a history of the Jewish people. Students of the school participate into the international Jewish youth life. Most of graduates continue their education in higher educational institutions of Russia, Israel and other countries.

Terms of school enrollment

School enrollment for general education is carried out within the calendar year based on the free will of children and their parents by submitting of the application to the attention of the Director of the school on the basis of an interview provided the submittal of the relevant documents.

School provides fee-paying education. Payment is to be fulfilled according to the contract executed between the school and the parents (legal representatives).
